The Center for Research in Engineering Sciences and Technology (CREST) is focused on innovation, technology, and R&D in emerging technologies. Our primary objective is to solve various challenges faced by our customers and develop new products, service offerings, and solutions catering to the needs of these customers. Since its inception, the contributions from the CREST team have been towards filing for patents and publishing research papers in international conferences catering to a multitude of new technologies.

Our vision is to build KPIT Cummins as the Global Leader in selected niche technologies of interest, enable free exchange of ideas and create an atmosphere of innovation throughout the company. CREST has developed a world-class team of researchers who continue to be recognized through their expertise and thought leadership. While individual business segments focus on their own day-to-day activities and planning, CREST offers out-of-the box solutions and contract research to each of these segments. CREST enables the ‘Eureka’ events for our customers, thus providing a win-win situation for the customer as well as for KPIT Cummins.

At CREST, we understand that the time to market is crucial for our customers. We focus on use of appropriate cost effective technology, and work under technical as well as market driven constraints. This, we know, is as important to our customers as the actual technology offering.

In CREST, we believe in creating an atmosphere of innovation and spreading it throughout the company. Events like monthly technical seminars, lecture series by eminent scientists, annual technical conference, are among the many initiatives undertaken by CREST to drive passion for technology, and to nurture a culture of innovation across the company. Our quarterly journal, TechTalk@KPITCummins, is a platform for our technologists to share their technical expertise with our customers as well as with other fellow employees. To share and exchange ideas with people from all over the world, we have started a unique internship program for international students called Nalanda.

CREST is poised to make KPIT Cummins a Global Leader from a technology perspective with novel ideas, new technology offerings, building IP portfolio by patenting, publishing in prestigious journals and conferences, and by increasing our customer base and satisfaction.
