Solution Details
'Plug-in' - The batteries can be charged from a standard external electricity source.
'Parallel hybrid' - The motor and engine work simultaneously at all times. The vehicle not only functions like an EV (electric vehicle), but also operates like a conventional fuel vehicle if the batteries are fully discharged.
No user intervention due to seamless load sharing between the motor and engine.
The batteries are recharged through opportunity-based regeneration and regenerative braking thereby enhancing the range per charge.
